The Response Fund is being administered by the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation (BLCF) on behalf of the National Emergencies Trust with the aim of supporting local voluntary and community organisations that are helping vulnerable people suffering hardship as a result of coronavirus/COVID-19.
Grants are available towards the costs of response projects or initiatives being delivered by local organisations in Bedfordshire. The fund will also consider awarding a small number of larger and/or more strategic grants to support co-ordinated responses, infrastructure organisations, or those working in partnership over a wider area.
The types of programmes that this funding could support are, but not limited to:
Mental health support.
Support for vulnerable and older people.
Training for new volunteers/aid workers.
Distribution of essential items.
Keyworker staff costs for increased hours.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available.
All grants awarded must be spent by 31 August 2021.
The deadline for applications is 12 February 2021 (17:00).
