The Greggs Foundation (formerly Greggs Trust) was established in 1987 by the former Chairman of Greggs plc, Ian Gregg, and is a registered charity. The Foundation's aim is to put something back into the communities where there are Greggs shops and where customers and employees live.
The North East Core Funding scheme (formerly the Major Grants scheme) makes grants to charitable organisations based in the North East of England that make a difference to people in need. In particular, it supports organisations that work in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods in the North East of England in the counties of Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham and Teesside, or organisations that support otherwise disadvantaged people.
North East Core Funding offers core running costs to organisations that meet the progamme's aims. Please see the grants section for more information.
Grants of up to £15,000 per annum for up to three years are available, resulting in a maximum grant of £45,000.
This programme is open for applications from the 1st of February 2021 to midnight on the 22nd of March 2021 with decisions by the 7th of May 2021.
